Simon Nguyen, MS in GIScience Program
Simon Nguyen is a Masters Student in the Geographic Information Sciences Program interested in Environmental Science and Sustainability. Simon's expertise lies in conducting drone-based topographic Lidar surveys, automating imagery processing, and creating live web maps. He has handled various projects for the GIESR Lab, from creating DEMs from LiDAR cloud points to automating classification of 1,000's of images from experimental river ice dynamics research. Simon also works in the SLU Remote Sensing Lab supporting drone missions for Precision Agriculture. His passions include environmental issues, sustainability, and finding ways to be more green and clean. His hobbies include long walks in parks, talking, photography, learning more about others, and trying new cultural food.

Donivan James, MS in GIScience Program
Donivan James is a Masters Student in the Geographic Information System Program with interest in Environmental Science and Machine Learning. Donivan’s expertise is in imagery analysis and geospatial development. In his professional work, Donivan has handled several projects including Janus Geography, numerous MGCP spec projects, and currently NGA’s LLFD research project in collaboration with Intermap, John Hopkins University, and CACI International. Donivan’s passions include renewable energies, energy security, and national security. His hobbies include hiking, fishing, watching sports, and travelling for new restaurant discoveries.
